The Feltmakers again entered a  four man team for the above 36 hole  event which was played over the Old and New Courses of Walton Heath Golf Club on Thursday 17th May, in splendid weather. The pairings were Geoffrey Vero and Gerry Higginson, together with Geoffrey Farr and Jeremy Brassington .

Although both pairings were reasonably placed at lunch time, perhaps the good wine and food got to us as we ultimately finished up about 32nd out of 54 Livery Company entries. The Mercers  Company must have had some magic  Mushrooms for lunch as they had an outstanding afternoon’s round and won by a large margin.   Geoffrey Farr – who has been a stalwart of the team for over 20 years has indicated it is time to pass his clubs to a younger player – so we will be seeking candidates to fill his boots for next year. Well done Geoffrey – we had two wins out of the last  9 years.
