On Tuesday 21st May, 12 participants took to the cricket field at Amersham C. C. to decide who would win this year’s Pairs competition. The weather was dry and the sun appeared, but briefly.
Umpires Past Master Geoffrey Farr and Liveryman Richard Brumby controlled play efficiently,
whilst evenly balanced pairs of players battled against each other. Afterwards 22 players and spectators enjoyed an excellent buffet in the clubhouse.
Assistant Sarah McLeod’s two sons won this year’s competition.
The prizes were kindly donated and presented by the Master.
The event was organised by Third Warden Peter Simeons with the help of Liveryman Simon Curtis.
