2008 Annual Masters' Week-End
Master Feltmaker Geoffrey Vero and his wife Frankie attended the Annual "Masters" Iron-bridge week end at the beginning of June. There they met with the Masters and their wives from 94 other Livery Companies.  The week-end involved both a dinner on the Friday night and a Ball on the Saturday night and all this was held at Ironbridge, the heart of where the Industrial Revolution started, close to Telford in Shopshire.

On the Friday night , the Master presented one of the Feltmakers Plaques to hang alongside other Livery Company Plaques which are lined up in precedent order. Saturday was spent going round the World Heritage Sites and the week-end finished up at the local RAF museum on Sunday. A great chance to chat with all the other Masters.

The photo shows the Master, appropriately in a stove pipe Top Hat from that period, and was taken in Samuel Darby's original Mill House. This was where a descendent subsequently lived and who married a Christie Miller of the famous family felt-making firm of Stockport.
